Yes. Ferrero Automotive office a complete design service for tailor-made metal racks developed in response to specific needs in the automotive sector. The process starts with a study of a 3D model of the component provided by the client, on which we carry out feasibility studies and virtual simulations of ergonomics and capacity. This enables us to optimise the internal spaces of the rack and to ensure the highest level of protection, the handling efficiency and the aesthetic-functional quality of the individual items to be held, handled or transported.
We therefore transform the initial concept into a complete 3D construction model, developed according to the technical specifications and the client’s requirements. From the final model we derive the 2D drawings required for prototyping, a phase in which we use 3D printers to precisely reproduce supports and components, in order to validate the design solutions. Before mass production, we create a functional prototype, which is essential for testing and confirming all the identified technical solutions.
Once the prototype is approved, we proceed with the production of racks for pre-series and series. Since most of our specific metal racks and metal racks with pillars are intended for highly automated facilities, each rack is verified using 3D measurement instruments with 7 axes, ensuring precision, repeatability and tolerances suitable for robotic handling.
